Why did you decide to get a loft conversion?
We considered moving house but could not find a house in the right area which ticked all the boxes. We liked where we lived and it is ideally located for our children’s schools so we decided to save the stamp duty cost and add value to our home by extending into the loft.
How many other quotes did you get before going with The Loft Room?
Three; The Loft Room was the middle quote.
Why did you choose The Loft Room in the end?
Prior to getting a quote we loved their online pictures, the style ideas and had read their reviews. The photos of their previous work were so good we were concerned that they would be out of our price range. When we received the comparably priced quote we were thrilled and didn’t think twice about choosing them.
What do you think of The Loft Room’s customer service?
The Loft Room is a family run business, including the office team, they really care about ensuring you get the best service. All communications were acknowledged and quickly resolved. The Directors are also involved, conducting site visits to ensure that the build was running to plan and were happy.
How did you find the loft conversion experience as a whole?
You have to let people inside your family home so It’s obviously extremely important to pick a trusted company. Our build was during the winter, Covid and home working. The tradesmen did everything they could to keep disruption to a minimum and accommodate our lives! The Loft Room and our Carpenter managed everything for us, ensuring all the trades were present when required, communicating plans and taking us into the loft regularly to discuss and explain the process. We asked them to give us design ideas throughout and they adapted plans and trades to ensure we achieved all our requirements. We expected a stressful experience but it ran smoothly and finished on-time.
How do you feel about your new loft conversion?
We love it! The added space is so comfortable and spacious and it has made a huge difference to our home; we no longer have the requirement to move.
Do you think The Loft Room fulfilled your loft’s greatest potential?
The loft Room suggested a layout which encompassed a study, large master bedroom and en-suite bathroom. During the build Rich surveyed the loft and made further suggestions to increase the space and create a large walk in wardrobe area. Not only have they ensured the loft’s potential but the creation of the loft has given us the opportunity to adapt other rooms in the house.
Would you recommend The Loft Room to a friend, family member or neighbour?
Absolutely, we have already and will continue to do so. We couldn’t fault the experience.
Of all the trades working on your loft conversion, which was your favourite to work with? E.g. the carpenters, plumbers or electricians.
All the trades were professional and we were happy with their work. However, the carpenters (Jamie and Ash) were with us everyday. They are friendly, polite and hardworking tradesmen. They genuinely wanted to build a loft that we loved and took pride in their work.
Do you feel confident you could contact The Loft Room again in the future for any reason to do with your loft conversion?
Yes, post build we’ve sent questions to our carpenters and they have responded quickly.
